Beach Hippie

As a frequent Myrtle Beach visitor with many must-visit locations there, I think Beach Hippie is the newest addition to that list, and it may soon be on yours too!

Beach Hippie is located on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It's only about 2 blocks inland from the nearest beach so the name makes a lot of sense! The interior of the shop is very groovy, wall-to-wall colorful, and fun! It has vibrant murals on both sides of the shop and a paddleboard hanging from the ceiling. The empty spaces on the walls were filled with beach decor, like fun signs with cute sayings or surfboards. It is one of the most highly-rated coffee shops in the area and was very busy, but the customer service still did not disappoint! The employees were friendly and the coffee came out very quickly.

The menu is probably what impressed me the most at Beach Hippie. A complete menu of different beverage and food options is not out of the ordinary for most coffee shops, but what blew me away was the amount of specialty lattes they offered. One of the main things that I look for at a coffee shop is unique specialty drinks and Beach Hippie certainly had that! (You can see a picture of the entire PAGE of specialty lattes below) I got a Smiley Pants latte -- iced. It was great, the best coffee I've had in Myrtle Beach. It wasn't too sweet, you can still taste the flavor of their espresso even with all the other add-ons. I will say with that, if you don't like the taste of coffee I'd add an extra splash of cream to their drinks.

Would I recommend Beach Hippie?

Yes, if there's one place you should get coffee while visiting Myrtle Beach it's Beach Hippie!

About Me

My name is Courtney and I'm from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since high school, coffee has been a part of my daily routine and I slowly became infatuated with coffee shops and the environment they create.  In my first year at college, I decided to start dedicating any and all of my free time to going to local coffee shops in Indianapolis. Today, I've gone to over 12 shops just in Indianapolis alone!

As my coffee obsession grew, so did my love for traveling. When I was growing up a family vacation was an annual occurrence. Whether it was to the beach or the mountains I didn't care, I just loved exploring new places. Today, I travel any chance I get, even if it's just a day trip.

As of late, I've been combining both of these loves by always going to a new coffee shop at every destination. I decided to create this blog to not only share my love of coffee but to hopefully give others inspiration to explore... and drink some amazing espresso along the way!
